I have known Ivana in a professional capacity since 2007. At that time Ivana was the Accounting and Office Manager for Control Contracts Limited, a role she held for 12 years.

All of our product listings have now been updated which include but are not limited to DoubleDproducts.co.nz, earcandlesbychoice.co.nz and on TradeMe.co.nz

The updates consisted in some cases of absorbing the GST increase such as with earcandlesbychoice.co.nz and Weleda while with others like NFS, most items increased a few cents however there were others that went down a few dollars.

Artemis added the increase to their product line however it is good to know that we still provide these items for considerably less than other outlets who choose to provide the Artemis range well above the RRP.

We have since discovered there were a few products we have never received notification about. If we did it slipped by unnoticed. Those items along with the new ones will bring the existing product count from 84 up to around 96.

When we receive the product briefs and the applicable images etc, they will be added to DoubleDproducts.co.nz and TradeMe.co.nz

As of the 1st of October 2010 the increase in GST becomes effective. We will be shutting down Double D Products while we make adjustments.

Unfortunately the changes will take some time, so expect to see the site offline for a couple of days, probably longer, commencing no earlier than the 25th of September.

In a few days time all of our listings on Trade Me will be set to shut down so we can make the changes in a completely fair and honourable manner.

We will be absorbing the differences when it comes to Ear Candle by Choice until further notice. Hopefully we will not need to adjust the costs on this item.

If production costs increase we may need too, but until then the known prices apply. earcandlesbychoice.co.nz will therefore not be shut down for price adjustments.

If by chance there are any trades or sales of items on this crossover period that are questionable, Double D Works Ltd will bare any shortfall.

We have recently picked up some additional work which has us looking for some part time labours.

Finally trademe has reconsidered and relaxed their banned and restricted items list. This allows us to list most of our products.

We currently have 40+ items listed. Brands included are; Artemis, NFS, Madura, Weleda, Musashi, Ear Candles by Choice and Expose.

Apparently, everything except for Folic Acid and or Weight Management products can be listed.

Hopefully there are no products removed down the track.

This outage was due to a fault with our host provider.

As we move forward in 2010, it is important to note that our sites undergo regular upgrades. When it comes to most of our sites, upgrading is very simple and seamlessly integrated with near zero down time.

However when it comes to DoubleDproducts.co.nz this process is much more involved. We are currently waiting on database management software, allowing for the merging of data and schema within mySQL (A date can not be confirmed at this time. We will revisit this in due course, as we obtain relative information).

It is not important that you understand what any of that means, only the fact that until we obtain such software, said site will be off line for days as opposed to hours or minutes during such upgrades.

Updating websites like DoubleDproducts.co.nz is critical to maintaining its existence, not to mention all entered data, such as orders, user names etc, etc.

Upgrades to DoubleDproducts.co.nz will generally take place over the weekend. Upgrades will probably commence either late on Friday night or early on Saturday morning, but not every week.

As far as order processing and the Couriers are concerned, having the site off line after 5pm on Friday and back on line by Sunday night will be the least disruptive and will not affect nor lengthen the shipping time frames or notifications in any way, as we do not currently offer Saturday deliveries via our shipping agent and we presently notify of shipping status changes via PayPal.

We feel that paying a Saturday delivery charge only adds an additional fee that most would rather avoid, opting rather to place their orders ahead of time, allowing plenty of room for receiving any such Item(s) prior to them be required (as a regular shopper).

There is only about 24 hours left now until the DoubleDproducts.co.nz shopping cart goes live.

At DoubleDproducts.co.nz almost all our products are marked down 20% below the RRP.

The shipping charges are calculated on a varying basis. Please be sure to select the correct shipping option. The options are pretty straight forward. There is an option for Rural and Urban, an International and Pickup only, plus a Free Domestic shipping option for orders over $250.

Over the last week or two we have been working on formulating the freighting calculations. We believe that the arrived figures should be adequate to allow on average the funds required to cover the cost of shipping, whether transporting near or far.

We will be monitoring the costs of shipping. As time goes on we may make changes to the freighting formulas, if we find on average that they are either consistently too high and or low.

Over the next week or two we will continue to test the sites settings. We will also be loading a few more banners into our code rotator.
